Block Paved Driveway and Brick Walls in Bidborough, Tunbridge Wells
Client brief: to design and construct driveway to replace the old asphalt surface. Design needed to make sense of varying levels, without the need for excessive earthworks.
The original driveway was removed and the site reduced to formation level, at this point the falls were set as accurately as possible. This driveway measured in excess of 100m2, storm drainage needed to be carefully planned as it could generate a large volume of water.
The brick walls were built, these included brick lights to illuminate the driveway entrance.
Drivesett tegula block paving was chosen, for its distinctive appearance and hard wearing properties.
The kerbside appeal of the property was transformed by combining premium block paving, local stock bricks, soft landscaping and outdoor lighting.
