Case Study Three
New Build Langton Green
A previous client contacted us to design and build a garden for their parents.
Client brief: to design the garden to create as much useable space as possible, whilst including some creative flair. The design needed to make sense of the awkward sloping site and allow access to garage.
The design was accepted and the garden construction commenced. Softwood railway sleepers were used to retain the different levels in the garden. Careful planning ensured that very little soil was removed from site, the majority of it was reused. The use of timber in this environment helps to soften the structure.
Indian sandstone in fossil mint was chosen, as its colour matched that of the timber. The natural characteristics of both materials compliment each other well, and will only get better in time.
